LeTourneau University
LeTourneau University, founded in 1946, is a fully accredited, four-year coeducational, nondenominational, evangelical Christian university offering degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, business, education, and with particular emphasis in engineering, engineering technology, and aeronautical science. Graduate degrees include the MBA and MSM. LeTourneau is one of the few Christian universities holding accreditation by the prestigious Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The University\nulls 2,810 students represent 49 states, 23 foreign countries, and more than 35 different denominational groups. The current freshman class average SAT score of 1178 evidences a strong academic quality, with provisions made for students with lower scores who possess evidence of potential achievement. The University also offers diverse programs for the continuing and adult student, including very strong program offerings in other Texas communities such as Tyler, Houston and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

Longview is the shopping center for approximately 200,000 persons who reside in the immediate area. It is an approximate two-hour drive east of Dallas and one hour west of Shreveport, Louisiana. Longview\nulls Gregg County Airport is an all-weather facility with regional airline service. Conveniently located on Interstate 20, the city is also served by Amtrak.
