Chelton Aviation Corporation


Chelton Aviation Corporation is a Texas corporation formed on October 29, 2002 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chelton Avionics Inc. of North America of whom is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chelton Group of Cobham plc. Well known avionics systems companies that share the same owner and leadership as CAC include Chelton Flight Systems, Wulfsberg Electronics, Northern Airborne Technology, Chelton Antennas, Artex, and Comant to name a few. CAC occupies two hangars on Denton Municipal Airport totaling 20,000 sq ft of combined office, manufacturing, and aircraft modification space. Autopilot installation STCs in support of the AP-3C are all accomplished at the CAC facility. CAC holds a FAA Product Manufacturing Authorization (FAA-PMA) in addition is a FAA Certified Repair Station (FAA-CRS) for Limited Airframe, Limited Engine, and Limited Instrument/Avionics. CAC employs an administrative, engineering, quality, test pilot, and manufacturing staff on sight in support of the Product sales and marketing, Product technical services, Product component assembly, STC development programs, STC kit production, and Product repair. Major manufacturing of the primary TSO components is performed for CAC at our sister company Wulfsberg Electronics. Electronics manufacturing at the Wulfsberg facility allows CAC to leverage the already available equipment and resources.
