IDM, inc.
IDM inc. is a privately owned company established in the Fall of 2003 specializing in Aircraft component support and other specialized support services such as Machine Shop, Sheet metal shop, Composites shop and On-Wing services.
Indianapolis Diversified Machining Inc. has been operating its business at the Indianapolis Maintenance Center located at the Indianapolis International Airport since 11/2004. Our core business is to provide support shop services to the 12 Hangars located at this facility. We specialize in component overhaul and repair to include but not be limited to, Boeing 737, 757, Airbus319/320, aircraft. We also provide a wide variety of other services such as manufacturing, NDT, welding, H.T.
IDM inc. occupies over 200,000 sq. ft. of shop space at this maintenance center and we are rapidly expanding with volume of existing products and gearing up for new product lines in the very near future.
Our capabilities include:
Machine Shop:
A fully functional shop with both manual and CNC equipment, that is capable of manufacturing or repairing. IDM inc. is diversifying their business to encompass both Aviation and Non-Aviation products. We strongly believe diversification is the goal to a successful business.
Sheet metal Shop:
A fully equipped shop with a walk-in wash bay, blast room, painting facility and well-equipped welding area that is capable of repairing and overhauling flight controls and various other components.
Composite Shop:
A facility that is equipped with a very large clean room (w/walk-in freezers), ovens,8ft. diameter x 30ft lg. Autoclave that allows for repair of most all flight control surfaces.
NDT Facility:
Our NDT facility is equipped with 2 x-ray cells, film-developing lab., and fully stocked tool room that includes various eddy current and ultrasound test equipment and standards. We also have an MPI/FPI station for bench work.
Interiors Shop:
Our interiors shop includes a floorboard manufacturing area w/CNC Router machine, repair and overhaul facility for lav. Tanks (w/Proseco wash system) and pumps and other various interior components.
